  • We refer to the person attending/accessing the training as the delegate

1. Acceptance of Bookings

1.1 Our website guides you through the booking process. All details can be reviewed before completing the booking, so please take the time to read and check the details at each stage.

1.2 All bookings are subject to availability, and we can reject a booking. If we do not accept your booking, we will email you immediately.

1.3 Once you make a booking for a public training (either via our website, phone, or email), you will receive an automatic email confirming that we have received the booking request. A further email containing an invoice will also be sent, and the booking should only be deemed as accepted when this is received.

1.4 IDCIC may use customer portals for specific training; nominators will be advised accordingly.

1.5 If you have not received a booking confirmation, receipt, or invoice within 48 working hours of booking, please email info@industrydeveloper.com

1.6 Please note that we do not add entries to delegate diaries and calendars—the nominators are responsible for informing delegates of the training they have been booked on.

2. Payment & Invoices

2.1 Payment for training is required before the training date. The nominators ensure all necessary communication is shared with the relevant people and payment terms are met.

2.2 When booking, payment options are by card or invoice. You can also pay by credit/debit card, bank transfer (BACS, CHAPS, faster payment), details by request, or cheque.

2.3 Payment is due at the time of booking for bookings placed by private individuals or customers outside the UK. Please note that we do not accept international bank fees.

2.4 We may request payment at the time of booking where we have previously experienced late payment from a customer.

2.5 We reserve the right to refuse entry to a presentation if the training fee is not paid before the training date.

2.6 In-house training will be invoiced after the training date when final attendee numbers and expenses are confirmed. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

3. Cancellations & Transfers

3.1 If a delegate can no longer attend a training date, they can freely nominate another person to attend the same training date in their place. This must be confirmed in writing.

3.2 If we are advised more than 14 days before the training date, delegates can be transferred to another presentation of the same value or less at no extra cost. Transfer requests made within 14 days of the training date are not accepted unless there are exceptional personal circumstances. Requests must be written; a training director will assess them and advise.

3.3 All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to info@industrydeveloper.com before the training date.

3.4 Cancellation requests made within 7 days of a training date are not accepted, and the full training fee remains payable.

3.5 Cancellation requests made more than 14 days before the training date are subject to a 30% cancellation fee, which will be invoiced upon written confirmation of the cancellation.

3.6 Once the first training has been attended, any remaining training in that training series becomes non-refundable.

3.7 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a training after a booking is accepted. Any such changes will be notified to the nominator as soon as possible, and alternative options will be offered. Where a suitable alternative is not provided, we will reimburse any training fees paid in full. Our liability will be limited to the value of the training fees paid.

4. Classroom Training Terms

4.1 Joining instructions are generally provided at the time of booking along with the invoice. If they are not, they will be provided at least 1 week before the training date. If you have not received them, please email info@industrydeveloper.com. The joining instructions are sent to the nominator, who should distribute them to delegates.

4.2 IDCIC is not responsible for non-attendances caused by not receiving joining instructions and training details—it is the nominator and delegate’s responsibility to ensure they have received all communications and instructions.

4.3 Venues for classroom training are generally confirmed when booking, but the venue may change on rare occasions. Nominators are always informed as soon as possible, and updated joining instructions are distributed to delegates.

5. Online Training Terms

5.1 Some of our online training may be delivered via the learning portal. Joining instructions will provide access to a test. Access to the learning portal after the training may be limited.

5.2 Delegates and nominators are sent login details approximately four days before the training date. These details include full joining instructions, a link to the training room, and access to training documentation. The nominator is responsible for informing delegates about the training when booking.

5.3 IDCIC is not responsible for non-attendances due to not receiving login details—it is the nominator and delegate’s responsibility to ensure they have received all communications as outlined above.

5.4 IDCIC is not responsible for any hardware or software issues that result in a delegate being unable to access the training room, e.g., firewalls or IT security policies.

5.5 The price featured for online training is the fee per person. Nominators and delegates are not permitted to share room links, and if a delegate logs in without a booking, they will be removed from the room or invoiced for the place.

6. In-house training terms

6.1 In-house training will be invoiced after the training date when final attendee numbers and expenses are confirmed. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

6.2 If the client cancels an in-house training session within 7 days of the training date, 40% of the agreed training fee is due, plus any non-refundable expenses or development costs already incurred by the presenter.

6.3 If the client cancels an in-house training session within 14 days of the training date, 20% of the agreed training fee is due, plus any non-refundable expenses or development costs already incurred by the presenter.

6.4 If the client cancels an in-house training session within 30 days of the training date, any non-refundable expenses or development costs already incurred by the presenter are due.
